How will the pilot track CoP attendance?
Community of Practice (CoP) attendance is recorded by facilitators through TEALearn when participants access Zoom through their product course. Gradebooks will be updated once weekly to reflect completion. Please wait one week after a live session to see credit in the gradebook.
Participants should access their CoP session through their own device, ideally a desktop or laptop, for the most collaborative experience. During sessions, participants are sent to break-out rooms organized by grade level. Therefore, CRIMSI recommends participants do not join together on one device unless they are piloting the same product for the same grade level. In this circumstance, participants' names must be added to the chat so CRIMSI may award attendance credit.
CoP Meeting Tips and Requirements:
🎯 Ensure Stable Internet Connection: Double-check your internet connection before the session to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience. CRIMSI facilitators try to re-admit active participants if they are dropped from a call but cannot guarantee readmission.
🖥️ Join from a Computer: Join sessions from a computer, not a cellphone. This optimizes collaborative benefits within Zoom and prevents participants from dropping off the call due to signal issues.
📷 Camera Etiquette: While turning on your camera is not mandatory, it helps build community and connection. Participants selecting camera-off must participate in the chat to receive attendance credit.
🕒 Punctuality Matters: We appreciate your punctuality, as it allows us to maximize our valuable time together. Given that CoPs are meant to be a collaborative and informative space, participants will not be admitted to a CoP more than 15 minutes after its start time. Participants who cannot join in time can attend one of the make-ups sessions offered to meet the requirement of CoP attendance.
Insider Tip: Review the To-Do List in TEALearn regularly for reminders about upcoming deliverables.
