How do CRIMSI leaders and participants track their completion of deliverables? (Evaluate Deliverable Completion Using TEALearn Gradebook)

Only Use Gradebooks: Only reference the gradebook to determine completion. Gradebooks are updated by noon daily on weekdays. Community of Practice (CoP) credit is updated weekly on Fridays. CRIMSI seeks completion, so aim to submit all deliverables.
Missing Deliverables: Assignments with a “MISSING” status or “–” score are incomplete. Reference the checklists for more details on submitting missing assignments.

Ignore LATE: The “LATE” statuses in TEALearn gradebooks appear when submissions occur after the due date listed for a deliverable. Due dates are determined by the Scope and Sequences and are listed to keep participants on pace with the pilot. This status can be ignored and does not impact stipend eligibility.
Save Email Receipts: Emails from Canvas are not evidence of completion, but Qualtrics email receipts are and should be saved.
Ignore Green Checkmarks on Modules page: The green checkmarks on modules are not evidence of completion. They appear after a page is accessed and may malfunction.

Here’s an interactive guide on utilizing the gradebook to evaluate deliverable completion:

Participants should review the TEALearn Gradebook page to evaluate their deliverable completion status—only reference gradebooks to determine receipt of deliverables or official monthly deliverable status reports.

Deliverables from the role-specific checklists are listed in the Gradebook. Assignments with a “-” (dash) are incomplete or have yet to be graded. Assignments with a score or dark gray checkmark are complete and accounted for.

CRIMSI only seeks for submission of deliverables and not grades. The “Total” score listed at the bottom of the grade book can be misleading and should not be referenced as it does not consider missing deliverables. CRIMSI does not penalize deliverables submitted late.

All deliverables from the Onboarding checklist and forthcoming Semester 1 and 2 checklists must be completed to be eligible for the full $1,500 stipend (per piloted product, up to two products). Reference the Stipend and CPE hours FAQ category for full details regarding stipend requirements and eligibility.

Starting on August 31, 2023, CRIMSI will email monthly deliverable completion statuses of grade books. These status update emails reference the same data used to update gradebooks and help participants stay on track with submitting timely pilot deliverables.

Sometimes, Canvas (the TEALearn website platform) autogenerates emails when grades are updated, whether the gradebook update marks them complete or incomplete. Do not use Canvas emails to track the completion of deliverables, as they are not evidence of completion.

Qualtrics (the survey software) will attempt to send automatic emails to you with receipts of your entries. Please save these email receipts for your records. Sometimes, these emails are sent to the Spam folder or are blocked by the district’s firewalls. For assistance preventing this, please contact your IT department.
